REAL WEDDING: Falcon Crest Lodge Wedding

The Location: Canmore, Alberta

A Snippet About the Day: Starting off with a great tip for this Falcon Crest Lodge wedding… if you can get ready at the same venue your ceremony is at, do it… it makes things so much easier. I first met up with Shayne while he got ready then I hopped on over to see Lanie (ok, I didn’t actually hop but I might had a spritely step!) for her to get ready as they were both staying at the Falcon Crest Lodge. Staying at the same venue makes getting ready so much easier! Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, we took the long commute via elevator to the Terrace outside for the ceremony. Man, that minute was crazy. Ok, not really. Not even at all. It was so nice to not have to rush out, find parking & then get to the ceremony. So, again, I repeat, if you can get ready at the same venue as your ceremony, do it, or at least pick somewhere reeeeeeeallly close by. It saves stress. So back to Lanie & Shayne’s Falcon Crest Lodge wedding. The ceremony was on the outside Terrace and it did have some mountain views… but not the views they have on the website. Their website edited out the other hotel, the car dealership & the powerlines… so it’s not quite the same in person but it was still nice, but just an FYI for anyone considering the venue. After the Falcon Crest Lodge wedding ceremony we head up the mountain into Kananaskis for photos. I just think the scenery is nicer up there than in Canmore itself. After portraits it was off to the Iron Goat Pub for the reception where we did the first dances out on the patio to take advantage of more mountain views! If you’re getting married in the mountains, show off the mountains when you can!
