I’ve known Jen for years, we used to work together years ago before I made the shift to photography, so I was super excited to photograph her Cornerstone Canmore wedding! The day was a bit of a reunion for me seeing lots of people I used to work with! We started the day getting ready at the nearby Windtower Suites. I popped in with Brian & his crew before heading over with Jen & her ladies to catch the finishing touches.

Jen & Brian opted for a first look & to do their formal photos before their ceremony later in the day for their Cornerstone Canmore wedding. We went to Rundleview Parkette for their first look & Brian had such a sweet reaction to first seeing Jen in her dress! We hen headed up the mountain to Goat Pond where we started wedding party photos. I swear this was the warmest day ever, hovering around 35 degrees & the sun was crazy! We shifted down the road and into the trees to get a break from the sun. We then sent the wedding party away so I could do photos with just Jen & Brian. It’s hard to get romantic & intimate photos when you have an entourage watching your every move & teasing you! We finished up their photos at Whiteman’s Pond before heading back toward Canmore for the ceremony.

Jen & Brian planned an outdoor ceremony at Quarry Lake Park surrounded by family & friends. The mountain views at the park make for a spectacular backdrop for a wedding! Following the ceremony we headed to the Cornerstone Theatre for their wedding reception. Jen & Brian did their first dance on entrance. It’s one of my favourite ways to make an entrance since people are still fresh & are excited to watch the action. We also did the cake-cutting so that it would be ready to serve for dessert.
