We hadn’t planned on Lake Louise winter engagement photos when I first started talking with Morgan. Initially we were going to do their session out in Banff but I was just dying to photograph Lake Louise just as the Lake was freezing over. The day before, the Lake had frozen and had crazy beautiful clear ice, so I asked Morgan if we could switch up the location and she said yes! Of course, Mother Nature laughed in my face a little. Overnight, the snow fell and covered that gorgeous clear ice. I was foiled! But, I have to admit fresh snow in Lake Louise is pretty darn magical, so I couldn’t be too mad! It was a warmish November day, as far as November in Lake Louise goes. Morgan & Elijah were fun to work with and I’m thinking of them now as they are getting married this month back home in the US where I’m sure they won’t have snow like this!
