Vermilion Lakes Engagement Photos

Banff, Engagements

When I first starting chatting with Ryan & Erin to plan their engagement photos, I was initially wanting to go to Kananaskis (close to Banff and ridiculously pretty, just not as busy!) so we started to plan for that, however with getting a huge dump of snow in K Country we decided to do Banff engagement photos instead. We met up at Vermilion Lakes since Banff had way less snow (only a sprinkle by comparision) and we were greeted with a gorgeous fall day, although it was a little bit chilly and windy. The light was magic at Vermilion Lakes (I really like going there in the evening!) and it wasn’t terribly busy so we got to wander the area freely for these Banff engagement photos. We took a quick trip up to Tunnel Mountain Reservoir to end the session, I just wanted to get a bit closer to the mountains, although it was a fair bit colder there, but all the more enticing to cuddle, right? I had a great time with Ryan & Erin and I’m super sad that I wasn’t available for their wedding date but happy I got to do their Banff engagement photos! Here are some of my favourites!
