REAL WEDDING: Tunnel Mountain Winter Wedding
The Couple: Kendra & Zach
The Season: blustery March, still winter.
The Location: Tunnel Mountain Reservoir & Minnewanka Loop in Banff National Park
A Snippet About the Day: I’m used to wedding ceremonies at Tunnel Mountain from spring to Fall but I don’t get to have them all that often in the winter, so that was really awesome that Kendra & Zach were having a Tunnel Mountain winter wedding ceremony! When I first got to the reservoir I found Zach and the Dads digging out the area for the ceremony. We adjusted it a little so the sun would fall behind them to get even lighting but otherwise it was perfect! Once that was done, off they went to get changed. I hung around for a while enjoying the view, I tend to show up early since I fear being late on a wedding day. Not much longer & everyone was ready for Kendra & Zach’s Tunnel Mountian winter wedding to begin!
It was a pretty blustery day & the meadow was especially windy. You could see the snow blowing around in the distance behind them. It was also super sunny. So sunny that the light reflecting off the sun was burning Zach’s eyes. He forged on though I know it was uncomfortable. Their Tunnel Mountain winter wedding ceremony was lovely! Once done, we let Zach rest his eyes & we headed off to the Minnewanka Loop for their wedding portraits. They were super fun to hang out with & Kendra even braved the cold & did some photos without her wrap!
