REAL ENGAGEMENT: Peyto Lake Casual Engagement Session

The Location: Peyto Lake & Bow Lake Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park

A Snippet About the Day: I had been chatting with Taylor for a while about their upcoming trip to Banff National Park & she was thinking Dan was going to propose when they were on vacation, so we made a plan to shoot if Dan did in fact propose… so glad it all worked out! We were originally going to shoot at Moraine Lake but we weren’t able to get in that night because of an accident. They weren’t letting anyone in including guests at the Lodge, businesses with permits, no one… so we had to come up with a new plan. We headed up Icefields Parkway instead for their Peyto Lake casual engagement session. We wandered out to the rocky viewpoint having the space all to ourselves & these two were adventurous and climbed the one high rock… and made some of my favourite photos at Peyto ever! We could see a storm rolling in so we hiked back out & headed off to Bow Lake where we spent the rest of the evening until the cold chased us away. You never know what’s going to happen in the mountains so it’s good to have back-up options & I’m so glad it all worked out for Taylor & Dan’s Peyto Lake Casual engagement session. I think we got way better photos than we would have at Moraine Lake! Seriously, the photos on the one high rock are epic!!
