I had originally been planning this Vermilion Lakes proposal with Jaren’s Mom and we had everything all worked out. Then the weather gets a little crazy and Jaren had a hard time convincing Rachelle to go out for a walk at Vermilion Lakes. It was a cold day. like really cold. In the -20s. And it was windy. so very windy, especially out on the frozen lakes. Jaren pulled through though and managed to get Rachelle to go for a walk out on the frozen water. After a moment, he dropped to a knee and asked her to be his wife. With frozen fingers, I clicked away, capturing their Vermilion Lakes proposal unnoticed. Once they walked back in, I said a hello and we headed off to another spot that was more sheltered to get out of the wind where we continued their engagement session. We took to the snow-covered trees near Cascade Ponds for a winter wonderland! These are some of my favourite photos from Jaren & Rachelle’s Vermilion Lakes proposal in Banff!
