Andy went through quite the planning process to create the perfect wintery Banff surprise proposal for Katie. The two had travelled from Australia and were going to quite a few amazing places and Andy chose Banff to be the spot to pop the question! Perfect, really. He even managed to find a dog to borrow for a walk (they love animals). So, under the guise of taking Shadow for a walk at Lake Minnewanka, Andy had Katie turn away as he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him as I photographed from a distance. She said yes, of course! The two celebrated with puppy snuggles and a little champagne toast, it really was a perfect wintery Banff surprise proposal as the snow fell softly over Banff.
We left Lake Minnewanka for a bit of a warm up and drove to Surprise Corner. They were staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs and that’s just the best way to include the hotel in the distance. These two were such a sweet couple, I’m happy I got to capture their wintery Banff surprise proposal! These are a few of my favourite photos from their engagement!

Or maybe this Vancouver Proposal from a few years ago! This is reminding me that I need to blog more of the proposals I have photographed over the years… oops!
