Winter in Lake Louise is absolutely spectacular, so Katie and Adam made a wise choice to run away with close family to have their Post Hotel wedding surrounded by fresh snow and majestic mountains. Elopements & intimate weddings are becoming much more popular and I really enjoy photographing them! Eloping in the Canadian Rocky Mountains is a wonderful idea! You get all the fun of a wedding without having to coordinate tons of people and chaos. We did photos of Katie & Adam before the ceremony just outside on the grounds of the Post Hotel. It’s a beautiful area with a river and mountain views. As with most winter weddings, it was pretty chilly after being out there for a while so we got cozy and wrapped them up in a warm, snuggly blanket for some really cute photos! I kind of have an obsession with blankets in photos. I just love the look and it helps keep me outside shooting for longer! After we were done with freezing outside (it was so worth it though!), we popped inside to the lobby at the Post Hotel for a cup of tea to warm up before the ceremony upstairs in the library. The library is a beautiful space for an intimate wedding, especially with that fireplace keeping us toasty on a cold winter day. Here’s some of my favourites from Katie & Adam’s Post Hotel wedding in Lake Louise!
