I can’t say it enough, but I am so lucky to be a Lake Louise Photographer! Lake Louise is an incredible destination for an intimate wedding or elopement. While it is always full of tourists (you can’t blame people for waiting to visit here, it’s so darn pretty!) and can be a little tricky to work around all of those people, it’s truly worth it to get married surrounded by mountains and that gorgeous lake backdrop! Melissa & Derek travel from the United States with a small group of family and friends for their intimate Lake Louise wedding. I think a destination wedding in the Rocky Mountains beats any Caribbean destination wedding, don’t you! Melissa & Derek were married in an intimate outdoor ceremony on the lower Meadow west of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Following the ceremony, we wandered the grounds taking photos near the meadow before heading down lakeside. We didn’t have to battle too hard to get space near the lake for photos, so that’s always a bonus! There was a brief shower of rain and we took cover inside for a short break but went back out and enjoyed some dark cloudy skies to finish up the portrait session. I loved being their Lake Louise Photographer and it’s always a great time working with Danielle at Something New Weddings, she’s a fabulous wedding & elopement planner!
