When Trish & Alex were planning their boho Mt Norquay wedding with Rocky Mountain Weddings for September, I don’t think anyone truly thought that snow was a real possibility. In the mountains, though, you never know what you’re going to get! It was a wedding that was a mix of autumn and winter. When we first arrived at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir for the ceremony, the meadow was covered in snow, but it slowly melted as we got closer to the ceremony. There were low hanging clouds trying to obscure Mt Rundle that added a really cool atmosphere to the ceremony. It was a chilly 20 minutes while Trish & Alex said I Do!, then we hung around the reservoir for a while before heading to Lake Minnewanka. The water was low at the Lake and I had visions of getting the wedding party out on the little rock island… it was tricky, but with a combination of carrying some of the wedding party & others running through the water, we got them all out there and it was epic! So totally worth it! Then the snow started again and it got cooooold. We took a break, went to their reception so I could photograph the boho Nt Norquay wedding reception set up at the Lodge while everyone warmed up. This boho Mt Norquay wedding was my first time at the Lodge and I just loved it! All of the greenery mixed with black and gold was gorgeous! Everyone did such a great job putting this boho Mt Norquay wedding together. After Trish & Alex warmed up, we headed off to Bow Falls for more photos of just the two of them. I love that spot when it gets cold because it’s way less busy so you can really enjoy the scenery. After a fun couples session, we drove back up the mountain to their Mt Norquay wedding reception that ended the evening with a s’mores bar out on the deck. It was such a fun day! Here’s some of my favourite photos from Trish & Alex’s boho Mt Norquay wedding in Banff!
