A Banff wedding parade? What? How have I never heard about this before? Well, it’s not an actual formal event, but it was something fun that Karen & Steven did to kick off their wedding day with their close friends & family who had traveled to Banff for their wedding. So no, there wasn’t a matching band, or floats or weird people in cars waving (well, actually, there were people waving and honking at them, so I guess there was!) at the crowds, but this Banff wedding parade was a procession from the Mount Royal Hotel along Banff Ave to Cascade Gardens where their ceremony was being held. The soon-to-be married couple just strolled along with their guests, having a fun time with a brief tour of town. I thought it was a fun way to kick off the ceremony and I felt a bit like the Pied Piper except I had a camera! Once we reached Cascade Gardens, the ceremony started in the gazebo and it was so emotional! There were tears all around and some of the sweetest vows I’ve ever heard. After the ceremony, I paraded Karen & Steven around Banff (see what I did there? yup, I’m hilarious!) as we took photos at Bow Falls, Tunnel Mountain & Vermilion Lakes. I love looking back at this Banff wedding Parade! It was such a great autumn day!
