It’s no secret that I adore mountain weddings. Lately I find myself in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise & Jasper pretty often but it’s a rare occasion when I get to go to Nordegg and photograph a wedding at Abraham Lake. It’s not a super well known area and there are only a few venues for a wedding, but the landscape is spectacular! I really hope Abraham Lake becomes the next mountain wedding hot spot! Rebecca & Kenton were married at Preachers Point staging area where they had set up a lovely outdoor ceremony and they also set up a tent nearby for the reception. I grabbed a few details of the set up before we started their formal portraits. We took some photos in the Preachers Point area before heading out to Windy Point (which is one of my favourite spots on Abraham Lake, although it is a tricky location because, yup, it’s really windy) and ended with photos in Allstones Creek. This group was up for anything as we hiked all around in the blazing sun for photos. Rebecca & Kenton were especially adventurous scaling the rocks. It was definitely worth the extra work in getting to some of the spots because the photos are just spectacular (if I do say so myself!). I just love that they were up for anything that I suggested and that let me create some beautiful wedding art for them to treasure for years to come! Here’s a few of my favorite photos from their Abraham Lake Wedding Photography session!
