The area past Nordegg isn’t as well traveled as Banff, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, etc. so it’s always nice to go there for a change of scenery and that’s what we did for Terah & Stephen’s Abraham Lake engagement photos. Winter in the mountains is totally unpredictable and we arrived at Windy Point to find three feet of snow in the road so we had to hike in to get to the spot where I want to start shooting. It’s called Windy Point for a reason, as we saw for sure on that cold, snowy day. We managed to take a few photos at the spot and used the iconic Hudson’s Bay Striped blanket for some photos before deciding to go find a more sheltered area to continue. It was a little iffy trying to get out from where we parked on the side of the road when we hiked back out, but after about 10 minutes we got out and went to the next spot which was near Crescent Falls. There was just too much snow to hike to the falls, so we just played around near the parking lot for more super cute photos with the snow falling. These are some of my favourite images from Terah & Stephen’s Abraham Lake engagement photos.
