REAL ENGAGEMENT: Windy Lake Minnewanka Engagement
The Couple: Shruti & Neil
The Season: Spring in the mountains! The lovely month of May
The Location: Lake Minnewanka & Cascade Ponds in Banff National Park
A Snippet About the Day: The weather in the mountains can be pretty unpredictable. Shruti & Neil had a windy Lake Minnewanka engagement session that looked pretty darn spectacular. I often get people asking what do we do with “bad” weather? I actually like “bad” weather. The worst conditions for be are blazing sunshine & bright blue skies… I’ll take rainy, windy, snowy, stormy… anything other than “perfect” weather. Neil & Shruti’s windy Lake Minnewanka engagement session is amazingly dramatic… that wind added a remarkable element & made it a little exciting to shoot! It was a bit chilly, but these two rolled with it & we made magic! Seriously, those crazy windy photos are some of my favourites! After we left the rocky point we wandered back into the cove where we were sheltered from the wind & enjoyed the awesome landscape with the lower lake water. Afterwards when the rain picked up, we went out to Cascade Ponds to finish up their engagement photos with even more drama! It had gotten dark so I pulled out the lights & lit the rain up!
