Josh & I were in touch via Instagram long before we made things official for me to be their Emerald Lake elopement photographer. In fact, Josh and I were planning before he officially proposed to Jessie! It’s really awesome when you get to be a part of the planning process! It was a fairly chilly fall day at Emerald Lake, these two came from a much warmer climate, but managed to handle the chill well. I met up with Josh & Kim (their officiant) at the main lodge and we heard an audible gasp all around us as the rainbow broke out over the lake. There was a flurry of photos happening around us as the many tourists tried to get photos of the rainbow. So we hurried things up a little and headed over tot he viewpoint to get the ceremony started so we could get the double rainbow in a few of the photos! It was like the world was smiling on their wedding that day, what a great way to start! I love my job as an Emerald Lake elopement photographer, it truly is an amazing place that I get to work at! Josh sang to Jessie during the ceremony, it was such as sweet touch! These two were adventurous and wandered out to a couple crazy spots for photos! We ended the night out at Moraine Lake. By then the temperature had dropped and it was threatening to snow, but these two were such troopers! These are some of my favourite photos from Josh & Jessie’s Emerald Lake elopement!
