The weather is a little unpredictable as Kristen & Noel discovered when they traveled to the Rocky Mountains for their boho Lake Louise winter elopement. It was snowing hard on their wedding day, some might even call it a blizzard, so the mountains surrounding Lake Louise were hidden. Since it was a total white-out, we opted for the trees for their ceremony and it was nothing short of magical, the perfect snowy woodland elopement. The snow was falling hard and the two were quickly covered in a blanket of fluff as they said their vows in an intimate ceremony, with just me and a witness watching. The snow was deep in Lake Louise, so deep that, as I stopped to the side to capture Kristen’s face during Noel’s vows, I sunk up past my hips in snow! I still had to keep shooting as I tried to climb out of the snow haha. What a sight that was! After they sealed the deal with a kiss (and all of the official paperwork, of course!) we worked our way around Lake Louise for photos, hoping the snow would let up enough to catch a glimpse of the mountains. Sometimes though, no matter how badly you want them mountains to show up, the weather has other ideas. Even without the mountains putting in an appearance, Kristen & Noels’ boho Lake Louise winter elopement was just magical. With Kristen’s bohemian style, she looked like a snow fairy! I was impressed with how these two toughed out the cold and the snow and got some truly amazing photos to capture such a beautiful day! Here’s some of my favourite photos of their boho Lake Louise winter elopement! And for those of you wondering, Kristen got her amazing bohemian wedding dress from Lulus! This shop has some great options for elopement dresses!
