If I had to choose my absolute favourite wedding venue in Edmonton, it would be the Wedgewood Room at The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. There’s a few reasons why I love the Wedgewood Room… it’s not a gigantic space so it is meant for more intimate weddings which are my favourite. The colour palette in the room is neutral but still has personality. The reason I like it the most though, is the light that floods the room when the windows are uncovered… it’s just spectacular. So of course I was excited for Courtney & Mitchell’s wedding there! We got ready in a few rooms upstairs at Hotel MacDonald so it was easy to head to the ceremony (it’s so much better logistically when there isn’t a lot of travel between venues!). Courtney had so lovely details… and who doesn’t get excited when the bride has two amazing pairs of shoes and all the sparkly things? The boys were easygoing and enjoyed a few drinks before the ceremony. The ceremony was beautifully set up in the Wedgewood Room and I got to sneak downstairs to photograph empty before the guests arrived, always nice when that can happen! Following the ceremony we took photos in the garden at the Hotel MacDonald and then we swooped away with just the bride & groom to get some photos at a nearby park showing some fall colour. We returned to Wedgewood Room for a beautiful wedding reception that ended with a fun dance floor. Here’s some of my favourite photos from Courtney & Mitchell’s Wedgewood Room wedding at the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald in Edmonton!
