We had a near perfect day for Kristin & Dan’s Emerald Lake Lodge wedding photos. The sun wasn’t too intense and it was calm so we got to see all the pretty colour in the lake. I first popped in with Kristin for a few final getting ready photos in one of the cabins at the Lodge. We then wandered up the hill toward the Viewpoint for their intimate outdoor wedding ceremony which got quite emotional during the vows (I love it when people cry during the ceremony)! After the ceremony we wandered the Lake with Kristin, Dan & their wedding party for photos. These two were feeling adventurous and took a red canoe out for a paddle for some photos (and we also put their best man to work maneuvering the canoe around for better angles for the photos). If you are able to work in 20 minutes in the canoes into your portrait time on your wedding day, definitely do it! Emerald Lake Lodge is one of the few places that you can do canoe photos without wearing a life jacket (yes, safety, i know, but life jackets aren’t pretty).
