If you look back through the blog, you might recognize Erin & Alex because they had a winter elopement in Banff and then had an Emerald Lake Lodge summer wedding to celebrate with their family and friends complete with a second beautiful ceremony. The got the best of the mountains with winter and summer photos with two pretty dresses! I started the day briefly with Erin & the girls as she was getting ready. Alex managed to dodge the getting ready photos by arriving late (I wonder if he did that on purpose??) and then we rolled into a lovely ceremony at the viewpoint with a gorgeous backdrop. Following the ceremony it was portrait time and we staying around the Lodge for photos so we could pop into Cilantro on the Lake so that Erin & Alex could have a reception room reveal before any of their guests were in there. We wandered out on the patio at Cilantro for a few more photos before the reception started. The smoke from the wildfires was pretty thick and was casting a reddish orange glow on everything (I’m so glad I have a good grasp of editing so that I could tame the oompa loompa orange glow!). The reception was beautiful with to many pretty details and was put together (along with the ceremony) by wedding planner Mountain Bride. I think the highlight of the night was the first dance out on the patio overlooking Emerald Lake and the mountains. Here’s the story of Erin & Alex’s Emerald Lake Lodge summer wedding!
