The day after Becky & Dave’s Kicking Horse Mountain Wedding in Golden, I met up with Emily & Drake for their Cedar House Chalets elopement in Golden, BC. We started while the two read letters to each other before having a quick first look and then heading to the ceremony together along with their dog, Jet. The view for the ceremony was just spectacular… who can resist a great mountain backdrop. The Cedar House Chalets is a great spot for a wedding or an elopement. Following the ceremony, we packed up and headed East toward Emerald Lake but opted to go explore Takakkaw Falls. What a beautiful location that is, although the road in is a bit long and windy, but definitely worth the drive to get photos with an amazing waterfall! Like the day before, it was crazy warm, so it was nice getting hit with a little mist from the waterfall. Like any major attraction in the mountains, the area was packed with tourists, but a little patience and creative angles allowed up to shoot like we had the place to ourselves. Takakkaw Falls is definitely a place I’d like to go back and explore more. It looks like a great spot to elope under the waterfall (just later int he evening with less people around!). I had a lovely time with Emily & Drake for their Cedar House Chalets elopement! I hope to be in Golden more often for weddings in the future!
