This past August found me in Banff (my favourite place to be) for Caroline & Jamie’s Buffalo Mountain Lodge wedding. Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a fabulous wedding venue! Both Jamie & Caroline got ready in cabins on site (yay for a short commute to the ceremony). I absolutely loved Caroline’s dress and I perhaps, kinda, obsessed over it for far longer than I should have… but look at it! It’s perfect! Once everyone was ready we went to the ceremony in the Wapiti Room, a beautiful rustic woody lodge space. The highlight of the ceremony was the ring warming performed by both sets of parents. Following the ceremony, we wandered off in Banff for wedding party and couples photos. It was a crazy hot day for their Buffalo Mountain Lodge wedding and it was hard to find shade to get relief from the heat. Our first set of photos were up on Tunnel Mountain Road before we took off to Lower Bankhead to seek some shade and to get a different feel for the background. We ended the portrait session on Lake Minnewanka (such a beautiful spot) enjoying the breeze on the lake and the stunning mountain views. We then headed back to Buffalo Mountain Lodge for the reception and I obsessed over the kitty cat cake topper they had! Cat people are my people! It was a fun, casual feeling reception with great speeches and fun dancing. We ended the night sneaking away to have some fun with sparklers and to enjoy the night mountain air. Here’s some of my favourite photos from Caroline & Jamie’s Buffalo Mountain Lodge wedding!
