JUST BECAUSE: Antelope Island State Park Couples Session

The Location: Antelope Island State Park, Utah

A Snippet About the Day: Since I was staying in Salt Lake City during my trip to Utah, I was looking around for locations that were close by & Antelope Island State Park looked like the perfect place to go for a shoot! I had Katelyn & Chris meet me near the gate to drive in & we took a stop on the side of the road just because it looked so pretty! It was a little soggy, there were quite a few flies & I’m sad to say it was a little stinky… but it was worth it because of how good it looked! We trekked on further into the park & I had explored the area the day before so I knew Buffalo point was going to be our final destination for the shoot. After a short drive & a bit of a climb (it wasn’t too bad!), we made our way up to the rocky paradise of Buffalo Point. This spot is truly spectacular! There were rocks, and fields of grass & some wildflowers, but also mountains in the distance… all of the things that make my heart sing! What I wasn’t expecting, and maybe because sunset in the mountains near Banff isn’t always over the top, was to watch the sun drop below the horizon in a spectacular display of light as we ended the night. The sun in Banff disappears behind the mountains long before actual sunset so to get the crazy low sunset was something special for me! What a way to end our Antelope Island State Park couples session!!
