Emerald Lake weddings are the type that dreams are made of. Incredible blue-green waters. Mountain peaks nearby. Amazing wooded areas. The Lodge is surrounded by scenery that doesn’t disappoint! I’m not surprised to find myself photographing so many elopements at Emerald Lake Lodge, Instagram & Pinterest have made this spot famous! This particular celebration of Erin & Albert was a little unexpected for me. The day before their event I got a message to see if I was available to shoot. I had to rearrange another session, but with less than 24 hours notice I was photographing this lovely couple and had just an awesome day. Since I’m so used to the area, booking a new one on the fly like that was easy! Erin & Albert were just lovely and their families were sweet! There were a few moments of Erin & her Grandpa that just tugged at my heartstrings following the ceremony outside at the viewpoint. Once the ceremony was done, we did a few quick photos with the wedding party and then Erin, Albert & I wandered the property taking photos with all of that gorgeous scenery! What a fabulous day! I really do enjoy photographing these mountain weddings, although it can be tricky working there because, like most mountain locations, there’s always a ton of tourists to work around.
