I’m pretty excited to share this one because it was my very first Jewish wedding, but it turned out I couldn’t officially capture the ceremony. What, you ask? Leading up to a wedding, there is so much stress & nerves & excitement. It really is a big day. With that much pressure, sometimes the tiniest thing going wrong can push couples over the edge. Well on this particular day, there was a huge accident near Field, BC which shut down the highway for hours. Hanging out in the traffic was half of the wedding of the wedding guests and the Cantor who was going to officiate the ceremony for Genevieve & Joel yesterday. So that’s kind of a big deal. I think most people would be justified in having a breakdown, screaming, crying… a full on tantrum would be ok. But not these two. They rolled with it. Like, seriously. I was so impressed. When the highway finally opened up the guests arrived for the end of dinner & they got to have a ceremony after the reception. It all worked out. We did choose to do some Jewish wedding ceremony photos earlier in the day when the ceremony was supposed to happen and we took lots of pretty photos around the Lodge. Here’s some of my favourite photos from Genevieve & Joel’s Jewish wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge.
