Kaitlin & Cody traveled all the way from North Carolina to Banff for their Two Jack Lake winter elopement. Talk about a change in climate! Though it had been chilly back home for them, it’s still nothing like Banff when winter really kicks in. They handled it well though! It was about -17C for their wedding. They had chosen Two Jack Lake for their ceremony and it’s a great spot in the winter, although it is windy. We picked a spot on the lake between a two batches of trees that allowed for a good wind block for the ceremony. These two had a true elopement, just the two of them and myself & their wedding planner as the witnesses with the majestic Rockies looking on. Following the ceremony, we did a few more photos on Two Jack Lake and Kaitlin bravely took off her fur to get a few photos to show off her gorgeous dress! It’s pretty impressive when a Southern girl can go bare-warmed in winter in Banff! We hopped in the cars and wandered off to Cascade Ponds to give them a chance to warm up and to get another fabulous mountain background before ending at Bow Falls. I really was impressed with how they suffered out the cold to get amazing photos of their Two Jack Lake winter elopement! I think they need to come back in the summer for a visit though! Here’s my favourite photos of Kaitlin & Cody’s Two Jack Lake winter elopement!
