I get really excited when I get to go to new places, so I’m really happy to share Melanie & Paul’s Mount Engadine Lodge wedding from this past October. While you do expect to have some crazy weather in the mountains, we weren’t entirely prepared for the foot and a half of snow that we had for Thanksgiving weekend. Yup. That much snow in the first week of October. Craziness. I had just gone the week before and scouted locations based on normal fall conditions. That went out the window when I arrived at Mount Engadine Lodge and saw the snow everywhere! No biggie. I can make a new plan on the fly, no worries at all! Both Melanie & Paul got ready at the Lodge, so that made getting ready photos a snap! They had the whole Lodge to themselves, just them and their family & friends, for the weekend. We were upstairs in one of the rooms for hair & make-up but were able to use the lounge downstairs to get everyone dressed.  There’s a great space by the fireplace that was just perfect so Paul & Melanie both got ready there. Once they were dressed, the ceremony got underway outside on the deck. Melanie & Paul walked into the ceremony together, and the brief ceremony ensued with a gorgeous mountain backdrop. After their Mount Engadine Lodge wedding ceremony, we wandered off into K country for bride & groom portraits in the snow. We ended their Mount Engadine Lodge wedding with the lowkey reception of dinner, toasts and cake. I really can’t wait to go back for another Mount Engadine Lodge wedding! It’s the perfect place for an intimate mountain wedding or elopement!
