Moraine Lake Lodge wedding

Couples, Moraine Lake

Justin & Bre didn’t have a Moraine Lake Lodge wedding, in fact, they were married back home in the United States but they wanted to have Moraine Lake Lodge wedding photos. So they packed their wedding clothes on their honeymoon and booked a portrait session in the mountains. The newlyweds were staying at Moraine Lake Lodge (and boy does that help make it easier to do photos there, especially in the busy July & August season). Because they were guests at Moraine Lake Lodge they got to do photos in the canoes after hours, a special treat! We started their session on the dock and the two took the canoe out for a quick spin on the Lake before we trekked up the Rock Pile to get those amazing views from above. Bre really wanted Moraine Lake Lodge wedding photo that showed off the scenery so we did a lot of really wide shots to show the landscape. I mean, when that’s your background, of course you want to show it off! We had a pretty amazing evening and took some fabulous photos! Here’s some of my favourite shots from Justin & Bre’s Moraine Lake Lodge wedding photo session this past summer!

Tips to help make your Moraine Lake wedding stress free

If you’re thinking about getting married at Moraine Lake, consider staying at Moraine Lake Lodge the night before & after your wedding day. It makes getting access to the Lake so much easier! For the past few years, access to the road to the Lake has been monitored & severely restricted from 6:30 am – 6:30 pm (that does vary a little). When you are a registered guest at Moraine Lake Lodge, you are guaranteed access. Another perk is you also get canoe rentals included which makes for pretty awesome photos & you don’t have to pay an extra $100+ for it!! There’s lots of tips & tricks to help make getting married in the Canadian Rockies easier. I’d love to be your local wedding guide & I’d love to photograph your wedding at Moraine Lake or anywhere else you choose!
